Thanks everyone who came out for the opening night!
We were totally packed with a crowd outside- hope to see everyone again next month!
We try to figure out our world by finding meaning and predictability in patterns. But patterns never repeat perfectly, and so the intangible aspects of our experiences live on in our blind spots.
Imperceptible is an exhibit taking a closer look at pattern, shrunk down and blown up- with works by Hannah Verlin and Jess L’Abbe.
It was a beautiful night and a great turn out for the first Lens Gallery exhibit, stop by this Sunday to check out Evan Voelbel's glass work if you missed opening night!
‘Natural Selection’ is an investigation of recurring patterns in nature. Inspired by scientific illustrations from turn of the century naturalists such as Ernst Haeckel and the Blaschkas, This exhibit brings the inquisitive spirit of the 19th century to a more contemporary context. With an aesthetic informed by curio cabinets and a hint of science fiction, 'Natural Selection' evokes a sense of wonder about the unknown, drawing on nostalgia with elements of the surreal.
